The Fixer. Backspacer is the ninth studio album by the American rock band Pearl Jam, released on September 20, 2009. The band members started writing instrumental and demo tracks in 2007, and got together in 2008 to work on an album. Material was recorded in Henson Recording. Pearl Jam made peace with their hard rock past on their eponymous eighth album, but its 2009 sequel, Backspacer, is where the group really gets back to basics, bringing in old cohort Brendan O'Brien to produce for the first time since 1998's Yield. Backspacer, Pearl Jams ninth album, backspaces to that boyishspirit, with the shortest, tightest, punkiest tunes theyve ever bangedout. The whole album is done and dusted in 37 minutes, a record forthese guys. Unlike your average long-running rock band, Pearl Jamstarted off specializing in slow, ruminative, rope-a-dope ballads anddidnt have any instinctive knack for playing it fast or loud. On theirearly records, punk nuggets like Spin the Black Circle were justfiller, and you sat through them because you were waiting for the nextawesomely slack-jawed torch song á la Black or Daughter. Rather, Pearl Jam's ninth album sounds a lot more optimistic and positive than the band ever has. Really, even though it's the kind album we all knew the band was still capable of recording, considering Pearl Jam's recent past it's quite the accomplishment. And I couldn't be happier with it. The band released the album through its own label Monkeywrench Records in the United States and through Universal Music Group internationally. Pearl Jam went back to producer Brendan O'Brien who they hadn't worked with since 1998's Yield. At this point, I think we're willing to let somebody cut the songs up a little bit, says lead vocalist Eddie Vedder. In the past, Brendan would say, 'It's a great song, but I think you should do it in a different k. Pearl Jam : Backspacer,альбом, рецезия, трек-лист, mp3, тексты песен.
